Mother Jnanamma Charitable Trust (MJCT) proudly operates a 15-Bedded Drug De-Addiction cum Rehabilitation Centre under the Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts (IRCA) scheme, supported by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Located in Narasaraopet, Palnadu District, Andhra Pradesh, our center is dedicated to providing comprehensive care and rehabilitation services to individuals battling substance use disorders.
Our Mission
Our center aims to facilitate the Whole Person Recovery (WPR) of individuals affected by substance abuse. We focus on holistic rehabilitation, addressing not only the physical aspects of addiction but also the psychological, social, and vocational dimensions, enabling individuals to reintegrate into society as productive members.
Services Offered
In alignment with the IRCA guidelines, our center provides:
- Detoxification and Medical Treatment: Supervised by qualified medical professionals to manage withdrawal symptoms safely.
- Individual and Group Counseling: Conducted by trained counselors to address psychological and behavioral aspects of addiction.
- Family Counseling: Involving family members to support the recovery process and rebuild relationships.
- Educational and Vocational Training: Equipping individuals with skills for employment and self-sufficiency.
- Aftercare and Follow-up Services: Ensuring sustained recovery and preventing relapse through continuous support.
- Awareness and Preventive Education: Conducting community outreach programs to educate the public on the dangers of substance abuse.
Infrastructure and Facilities
Our 15-bedded facility is equipped with:
- Residential Accommodation: Comfortable lodging for inpatients during their rehabilitation period.
- Medical Facilities: On-site medical care for detoxification and treatment of health issues related to substance abuse.
- Counseling Rooms: Private spaces for individual and group therapy sessions.
- Training Rooms: Areas designated for educational and vocational training activities.
- Recreational Facilities: Spaces for indoor and outdoor activities to promote overall well-being.
Staffing
Our multidisciplinary team includes:
- Medical Officer (Part-time): Oversees medical treatment and detoxification processes.
- Counselors/Social Workers/Psychologists: Provide therapeutic services and support.
- Nurse: Assists with medical care and monitors patient health.
- Ward Boys: Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
- Peer Educator: An individual with lived experience who offers guidance and support to patients.
All staff members are trained and adhere to the standards set by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
Admission Process
Individuals seeking assistance can be referred by family members, community organizations, or self-refer. The admission process includes:
- Initial Assessment: Evaluating the individual’s physical and psychological condition.
- Treatment Planning: Developing a personalized rehabilitation plan.
- Consent and Documentation: Obtaining necessary approvals and completing formalities.
- Commencement of Treatment: Initiating the detoxification and rehabilitation process.
